Portable clothes
steamer vs old fashioned ironing

This website gives you tips on finding the
best deals on portable clothes steamer.
We are all used to ironing, it's the
traditional way of getting wrinkles out of our clothes.
Lately, however, a new trend emerged, with the appearance
of portable clothes steamer that nowadays is available at
a great price. This steamer is a great time saver, as it
takes only a fraction of the time you need to iron the
'normal' way.
Ironing is something that we either love
or hate. Many people are passionate about ironing, and if you
love it, then you'll not even read about steamers any further.
But if you hate ironing, portable steamers are something that
might help you greatly and ease your pain (pain that I entirely
feel, btw!).
Don't get me wrong, ironing has become
much easier since the times of our grandparents. I still
remember my grandma using her old trusted heavy cast-iron,
which took real muscles to move it around. Nowadays,
electricity and plastic has made ironing so much easier, saving
us lots of time. Yet, many still hate ironing and I am afraid
that it will take lots of cultural discipline to get over their
negative feelings about ironing.
Believe it or not, steamers are here now
to replace irons. But there are different types of steamers and
you need to get the one that fits your needs more. I am
particularly biased to the portable clothes steamer, because I
can move it from room to room, I can even take it on my trips
(remember the old times in hotels when you wanted your clothes
to be ironed but you had to pay a fortune for the hotel ironing
services?), and I can even fold it and put it away when I don't
need it.
Portable steamers are made with a
detachable base that allows carrying, and a hook that will
enable hanging on doorknobs while using the noozle. Most
provide 20 minute steam time, which is plenty to iron your
shirt or dress for the next occasion. They usually have a fixed
T-noozle, as well as a lin brush attachment and a crease tool,
all there for you to make your life much easier when ironing.
Once returned to the bease, the clothes steamer stuts off
immediately.
An additional benefit of steamers vs
traditional irons is that they can be used on any sort of
materials, while ironing usually involves only clothes and
garments. You can freshed drapes and curtains, lift pet hairs
from your upholstery, you can even use it on silk and cashmere
safely.
Finally speaking about costs - many
people take their clothes to dry cleaning because they hate, or
don't have time for ironing. Now these times are also over
because the portable clothes steamer makes it so easy and fast
to use, that all the money spent on dry cleaners will be
effectly saved. This makes the steamer a darn good
investment!
Oh and one thing I forgot. When you iron,
you need an ironing board. Particularly if you live in a small
appartment, you know how much place an ironing board takes. A
portable steamer will free you from the space constraints and
you will see suddenly your appartment with different eyes, your
apparment will feel and look much bigger.
I reallly believe in the power of a good
portable clothes steamer. Ever since I bought mine, I never
took my bulky iron out of the closet. I got rid of my ironing
board, sold it cheap through the newspaper, and I never looked
back since.
